Media Relations Overview
The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff Office of Media Relations serves as the primary liaison between UAPB’s student-athletes, coaches, and athletics administration and the media. The office is responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to: setting up media interviews, compiling and distributing game statistics, creating and distributing athletics publications, and updating Arkansas Pine Bluff’s Official Athletics Website.
Media Policies
UAPB Media Relations provides game day publications and statistics for every home contest of the season. Photo arrangements, media credentials, and broadcast questions should be made directly through the UAPB Office of Media Relations . Post game statistics will be distributed following the conclusion of each contest. Media entities needing phone and or fax lines during, prior to or following a game should contact the Media Relations department at least 48-hours prior to the scheduled event.
TV and Radio
Tim Stubbs serves as the official play-by-play announcer for Golden Lion and Lady Lion sports broadcast on KUAP 89.7 FM and UAPB TV. Reaching Pine Bluff and surrounding areas, KUAP and UAPB TV has provided quality programming to its wide variety of listeners and viewers. Credentials & Parking
Media credentials and parking passes may be obtained by emailing the Office of Media Relations. Requests should be made no later than 48-hours prior to the scheduled contest.
Interviews
All requests for interviews with student-athletes, coaches, and athletics administration must be made through the UAPB Office of Media Relations (24-hours in advance). Home phone and cell phone numbers for student-athletes, coaches, and athletics administration will not be released under any circumstances. Head coaches and selected players will be available to the media following each contest. Per NCAA rules and regulations there will be a 10-minute cooling down period following each athletics event.
