CLINTON, MS - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Cross Country program turned in another strong outing at the Belhaven Invitational, with the men's team finishing second overall in the 8K run and the women's team taking sixth in the 6K. The Golden Lions once again showed depth and resilience in a competitive field.
Men's 8K Recap
In the men's race, junior Don Kasigwa led the Golden Lions with an impressive 16th-place finish, clocking 28:16.0. Freshman Noah Pasguin was next across the line for UAPB, placing 27th in 29:14.4, followed by junior Kewarny Fletcher, who came in 30th with a time of 29:28.6. Freshman Altaveon Grant added a 36th-place showing in 30:17.1, while freshman Kevin Horns rounded out the scoring pack at 46th in 31:57.5. Their combined efforts gave UAPB a total time of 2:29:13 and an average of 29:50 per runner, enough to secure the runner-up team finish behind LeTourneau.
Women's 6K Recap
On the women's side, junior Glorie Kabuin continued to pace the Golden Lions, placing 20th with a time of 25:11.4. Senior Kris-Ann Plummer followed in 22nd at 26:06.1, while junior Ashley Robinson crossed in 46th with a time of 31:39.7. The Golden Lion women finished with a total time of 2:37:30 to secure sixth place as a team.
