#UAPBTrackAndField Continue to Roll In Bulldogs Relay at Mississippi State

STARKSVILLE, Mississippi –  The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff track and field team wrapped up a solid outing at the Bulldog Relays at Mississippi State.

DAY ONE:
In the women's hammer throw, Lyric Love finished sixth with a throw of 45.68 meters. Danniel Bailey came in seventh in the men's hammer throw, going the distance of 52.66 meters. Deandre Fyffe finished 10th with a throw of 43.55 meters.

DAY TWO:
The team of Genesis Joseph, Ryan Longmire, Tarik Xavier, and Rio Williams finished first place in the men's 4 X 800 meter relay run with a time of 7:43.16. Jaylynn Hampton tied for first place in the women's high jump, going up for 1.65 meters. Caleb Snowden finished third place in the men's high jump with a distance of 2.08 meters. 
Cheriece Cope ran a time of 57.61 to earn a seventh place finish in the 400 meter run. Bailey had his second Top-10 finish in the men's discus throw, throwing 44.87 meters.

DAY THREE:
Hampton concluded the final day of the event earning a third place finish in the long jump at 5.63 meters and sixth place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.51, to finish with three Top-10 finishes. Ross Walrond came in third place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.48. Joseph and Longmire both finished in the Top-10 in the 400 meter run, Joseph in third place with a time of 1:53.18 and Longmire in sixth with a time of 1:54.68.
Raina Perry finished 4th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.35. Stephen Lane tied for fourth in the 110 meter hurdles, and Franklyn Stanislaus finished in ninth place for the Golden Lions. Xavier finished the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:07.21 to capture seventh place. Fyffe finished eighth in the men's shotput and Love came in 10th on the women's side for both's second Top-10 finish of the event.
The team of Joseph, Walrond, Mohamed Soumare, and Lane blazed the 4 X 400 meter relay to finish second place with a time 3:15.92.

UP NEXT:

UAPB will travel to both Austin and San Marcos, Texas for Texas Relays and the Bobcat Invational starting March 29 and ending on April 1.
