#UAPBBaseball Falls To Kansas St.

Manhattan, KS.- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team dropped game one of a two-game series to Kansas St. 12-2 in eight innings at Tointon Stadium.
 
The Wildcats jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Golden Lions responded in the top of the fifth inning with a two-run home run by junior Kacey Higgins to cut the lead to four (6-2), scoring junior Braelin Hence who reached base earlier with a single to left field.  

Kansas St. pulled away, scoring six runs in the last four innings clinch game one.
 
Higgins led the Golden Lions at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBIs, followed by Hence going 1-for-3.  

Trenton Ferguson allowed only two runs and two hits in 2.0 IP in the start on the mound for the Golden Lions. 

The Golden Lions will be back in action today against Kansas St. to wrap up the series at 3 p.m.  The game will be stream on the Big 12 Now on the ESPN+ and on the ESPN App.  Live stats can be seen free on the UAPB Athletics App.
