Houston, TX.- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team fell in their series opener to Texas Southern 11-1 Friday evening at MacGregor Park.
Texas Southern got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning before UAPB would respond in the top of the second inning with junior outfielder
Andrew Enwiya solo home run to left field to tie the game at 1-1.
The Tigers answered, scoring three runs in the bottom of the second inning before increasing their lead, adding seven runs over the next four innings to claim game one.
Enwiya led UAPB at the plate, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Junior
Joel Barker picked up the loss on the mound going 4.1IP with two strikeouts.
Due to inclement weather in the forecast on Sunday, the Golden Lions will play a doubleheader Saturday, March 13, beginning at 1 p.m.
