The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Athletic Department would like to recognize 14 current and former student-athletes among more than 250 university graduates participating in the Fall 2021 Commencement Ceremonies held Friday morning at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

The Golden Lions' Fall 2021 graduating class was headlined by Omar Allen Jr., who was awarded the Chancellor's Medallion.  The medallion is awarded to the graduate with the highest cumulative grade point average from each academic school year.  

Allen, a native of Pine Bluff, is the recipient of Arts and Sciences, with a 3.952 GPA and a major in industrial technology.  

"The feeling is great growing up and seeing the campus as a youth, said Allen." Once I stepped foot on campus for the first time as a student-athlete, I wanted to strive to be the best for myself, my family, and the community.  Achieving the highest award was worth it because a degree from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff means you are set up for success in life".
