Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football standout Jamie Gillan and the Cleveland Browns posted their first win of the 2020 NFL season, defeating in-state rival Cincinnati 35-30 Thursday night in an entertaining nationally televised game on NFL Network.

With the efficiency of the Browns' offense in victory, it was a quiet night for Gillan, the second-year pro who made the roster last year as an undrafted free agent. Gillan punted once for 43 yards in the second quarter in his only kick of the night. He did serve as the holder on all four Browns' PATs in the win.

Cleveland took the lead late in the first quarter and never relinquished it despite scored in every quarter, and held off the Bengals in a battle of former number one overall draft picks (Baker Mayfield of Cleveland in 2018; Joe Burrow of Cincinnati in 2020).

The Browns will return to action Sunday, September 27 hosting Washington at noon on FOX.

Another UAPB standout, T Terron Armstead and the New Orleans Saints, will close Week 2 action in the NFL with a Monday night game at the Las Vegas Raiders at 7:15 p.m. on ESPN.
