Senior Spotlight #UAPBVolleyball Micayala Pope

Setter Micayala Pope, a Desoto Texas, native, is an extremely intelligent student in the classroom, and it carries over into volleyball. Pope was part of Coach Chelsea Lucas first recruiting class and was the lone senior for the Lady Lions. Pope, a transfer from Choctaw College help led UAPB volleyball to their first postseason play since 2017. Played in 76 sets across 22 games and finished her career with a total of 257 total assists, and 76 digs.

Pope racked up a season-high 29 assist against conference foe Grambling St. As the 2020 season approaches Pope will join Coach Lucas staff as a graduate assistant.
