The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff women's tennis team started out the season with a very competitive non-conference schedule facing Oklahoma and Middle Tennessee, whose rank no. 31 in the nation. Kelsea Baksh stood out for the Lady Lions as she won her first game against the national rank Blue Raiders in the first match of the singles competition.
