Former University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football standout Terron Armstead and the New Orleans Saints clinched their fourth straight NFC Sough Division crown in a Christmas Day win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Armstead, who was named to his third straight Pro Bowl earlier this week, anchored a record-setting performance in a 52-33 win.
The offensive line helped RB Alvin Kamara score six rushing touchdowns, setting a franchise record, and tying an NFL record. As an offense, the Saints gained 586 yards in the game as QB Drew Brees became the first player in NFL history with more than 80,000 passing yards.
The Saints (11-4) will conclude the regular season on Sunday, Jan. 3 at the Carolina Panthers.
Another former UAPB standout, Jamie Gllan and the Cleveland Browns (10-4) play at the New York Jets Sunday at noon on CBS.
