CONWAY, Ark. - The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team lost at Central Arkansas 8-1 Tuesday at Bear Field.

UAPB got on the board in the seventh. With one out, Ryan Mallison singled and stole second. Following a walk to Andrew Krzeminski, Ricardo Sanchez singled through the left side scoring Mallison.

Race Tittle had a strong outing in relief for the Golden Lions. He hurled 6 1/3 innings, allowing only three earned runs, walked two and struckout one. Mallison had two of UAPB's five hits in the contest.

The Golden Lions will play their home opener on Friday in game one of a three-game SWAC series hosting Texas Southern at the Torii Hunter Baseball Complex, Bill Jones Field.
Game times are 3 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for reserved seating, $7 for general admission, and $5 for children.
