Baseball Loses Opener At Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff baseball team lost game one of a two-game midweek series at Oklahoma 8-0 on Tuesday.

Ryan Mallison, Sergio Esparza, and Bryce Roesch each had hits for the Golden Lions, who stranded four runners on base. The game was played in cold, blustery conditions with the temperature 30 degrees at gametime with a north-northwest wind at 14 mph.

The Sooners scored a single run in the second inning before breaking the game open with a four-run third.

The teams will complete the series Wednesday at 3 p.m.
