Pine Bluff, AR –   With summer rapidly expiring, fall sports activities begin gearing up for the 2017 season, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's and women's cross country head coach Christopher McCoy has announced the Golden Lions' 2017 season slate which includes trips to Louisiana and Mississippi.

Both teams will get started on September 1st in Clinton, MS., at the Mississippi College XC Opener hosted by Mississippi College.  This meet will provide the squads their first look at the SWAC Championship course, where they will return for the Championship meet on October 22nd.
 
In their second meet of the season and second of three in September, the Golden Lions will stay local, racing at the UCA Bears & Sugar Bear XC Meet at University of Central Arkansas Campus on September 8.

On Friday, September 16, the Golden Lions will travel to Ruston, Louisiana to compete in the Mook XC Invitational, which is hosted by Louisiana Tech.

The month of October provides two more events for the Golden Lions to compete at prior to the SWAC Championship meet.  UAPB will head to Magnolia, Arkansas for the Lois Davis Invitational October 6th, and close out their regular season campaign with a trip to Little Rock, AR. for the UALR XC Open on October 14th.
