PINE BLUFF, AR - Arkansas Pine Bluff head women's soccer coach Roberto Mazza announced the signing of seven student-athletes who will join the Lady Lions women's soccer program for Fall 2011 season.

“We're very excited about these seven players.” commented Mazza.  “This class covers a number of different positions for us -- we have a goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. It is a wonderful group of young ladies and I think they're going to bring a lot to us here at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, both on and off the field. They're all very good students academically. These new girls are going to fall into the tradition of how our team does both in the classroom and on the soccer field.”

Last Season the Lady Lions went undefeated in SWAC play (7-0) and won the Western Division Championship. The Lady Lions lost two seniors from last year's team and look to be deep in talent for the 2011 season.

“We are looking forward to the 2011 season and we hope it turns out to be a good season,” said Mazza. 

Along with this seven-member recruiting class, the Lady Lions return 9 starters from a last year.
