PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Baseball Team captured a three-game series versus the Chicago State Cougars on Sunday defeating CSU in the third and deciding contest 10-9.
After falling behind early in the game the Golden Lions bats came alive sparking a run in which Arkansas-Pine Bluff took a 10-6 advantage going into the final innings of play.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff dropped game one of the series 15-2 before rallying to take game two in dominating fashion by a score of 17-1. The game was called after seven innings of play.
The Golden Lions will now get set to go on the road to face the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks in non-conference action in Nacogdoches, Texas. The first pitch is set for Wednesday, March 2nd at 3:00 pm.
