- The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Lady Lions will be playing in their second consecutive home game Tuesday December 18, at 6 p.m., against in-state foe Philander Smith College at the H.O. Clemmons Arena. Â
- The Lady Lions are looking for their third consecutive win, before they start conference play.
- Junior Noe'll Taylor was named player of the week in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. She leads the team with an average of 8.4 points per game and steals, with a total of 10. Â
- Senior preseason All-SWAC selection Shawntayla Harris is averaging 7.8 ppg and a team-high 6.6 rpg. In addition to Harris, junior Kyeonia Harris leads the team in assists with (15).Â
- Heading into this week's action, UAPB is second in the conference in steals (12.0 per game) and block shots (3.8 per game) and leads the conference in attendance with an average of (645).Â

ABOUT THE Panthers
The Lady Panthers is coming off a two game losing streak, losing to Mississippi University of women 74-68 and Lyons College 76-59. Â
THE WEEK THAT WAS
UAPB moved to 2-3 with a 68-60 win over Tougaloo College.Â
Aiya El Hassan led all scorers with 12 points, shooting 5 -for- 6 from the field, eight rebounds and two steals.Â
