PINE BLUFF -- UAPB Baseball head coach Carlos James and his staff got their first chance to work with the entire squad this past Friday and Saturday as the Golden Lions opened-up fall practice at the Torii Hunter Baseball Complex.

This week, UAPB will intrasquad Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 4 and 5), weather permitting. In addition, the Golden Lions will host "Pro Day" on Sunday, Oct. 13.

All Saturday scrimmages are open to the public. For updates regarding intrasquad times, check @UAPB_Baseball on Twitter for start times.

The Golden Lions welcome 18 newcomers to the program this fall. They will join 15 returning players, including six position players and six pitchers that appeared in at least 13 contests in 2013.

UAPB will open its spring schedule with a four-game series against Tulane, Feb. 14-16, in New Orleans.
