A trio of University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff athletics teams have earned recognition from the NCAA for their academic performance.
The women's cross country team, women's track team, and men's cross country team each earned a perfect Academic Progress Rate (APR) score of 1000 for the 2017-18 year.
"We are proud of the success of these student-athletes in the classroom," said UAPB Athletic Director
Melvin Hines. "They are to be commended for being national recognized by the NCAA in ranking among the best in the country. Head Coach Chris McCoy and his staff, as well as our academic staff, are also to be congratulated for helping to position our student-athletes for classroom success."
The UAPB teams are among more than 1,300 teams from 321 Division I which have been recognized for their academic excellence after scoring in the top 10 percent of their sports during the most recent academic progress report.
