PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff football team will complete fall camp during the upcoming days. On Wednesday the Golden Lions competed against each other in what was the final scheduled scrimmage of camp.
“Our team played with a lot of energy today,” said UAPB head coach
Monte Coleman. “As the end of camp gets near our focus remains on improving techniques and staying healthy.”
Arkansas-Pine Bluff red-shirt freshman Quarterback Ben Anderson took most of the snaps with the first team during Wednesday's scrimmage. Offensively the scrimmage was highlighted by the play of running back Adrian Moore who broke for a 37-yard touchdown run and freshman wide receiver Javon Dixon who showed flashes of potential.
“We have a lot of explosive players on the offensive side of the ball,” said Coleman. “Our job as coaches will be to figure out how to get the ball into our playmakers hands where they can be successful.”
This upcoming Saturday, August 27th the Golden Lions will host Fan/Media Day at 12:00 pm at Golden Lions Stadium. This event is open to the public and UAPB players and coaches will be available for pictures and autographs.
