JONESBORO, Ark.- Still in search of their first victory of the season the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Volleyball team dropped three consecutive matches at the Arkansas State Volleyball tournament this weekend.
UAPB fell to Arkansas State, Houston Baptist, and Jackson State 3-0, 3-0, and 3-0 respectively. The Lady Lions came to within six points of capturing their first set of the season but were unable to slow Jackson State's scoring attack as the Lady Tigers held on to beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 25-19 in their final game of the tourney.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff returns to the court on Tuesday, September 8th in their conference opener versus Texas Southern. The contest is set to take place in the H.O. Clemmons Arena at 6:00 p.m.
