JACKSON, Miss.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams competed at the Jackson State Invitational this past weekend.
The women's team finished in first place after first and second place performances were contributed by Karla Atencio and Monica Carrillo. The tandem finished with times of 18:57.67 and 20:17.10 respectively.
In men's action Dexter Lyles garnered a 17th place finish with a time of 30:36.26. The Golden Lions also ran at the Oklahoma State Invitational in Stillwater finishing in 17th place overall out of a total of 25 teams.
Both teams are scheduled to participate in the Mississippi College Invitational on Saturday, October 10th. in Clinton, Miss.
