Davon Haynes earned All-Southwestern Athletic Conference honors announced today by the conference office, voted on by the league's head coaches and sports Information directors.
Haynes, a 6-8, 215 senior forward from Detroit, Mich., earned second team all-conference honors as he finished the season, averaging 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game, ranking him seventh in the conference in rebounding, ninth in blocked shots and 12
th in scoring.
UAPB finished the season 13-17 overall and 11-7 in conference play, earning No. 4 seed in the 2014 SWAC Basketball Tournament and will face No. 5 seed Alabama A&M in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, March 13 in an 8 p.m. start at the Toyota Center in Houston Texas.
