Jer-ryan Harris 6'2, 240 (Sr.; Memphis, Tenn.) has been named to the 2013 Heritage Sports Radio Network Division I/FCS Black College All-American Football Team.
Harris was the leading tackler in the SWAC with (107), 56 solo tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, and one fumble recovered for a touchdown. Harris also finished 6
th in the FCS in tackles. Harris led the Golden Lions in tackles twice this season with 14 each game.
Harris was also named to the 2013 All-SWAC First Team.
He help lead UAPB to its first SWAC Championship & HBCU Nation Champion by Boxrow in 2012 finishing with a 10-2 record.
This marks the second year in a row that a Golden Lion defensive player has earned Black College All American honors. Brandon Thurmond was named Boxtorow Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and Bill Ross was named to the Boxtorow All-American team.
Harris is making his second consecutive year and the third time out of four season on being selected to make the All-SWAC team. In 2010 he was named All-SWAC first team and freshman of the Year, 2012 he was named All-SWAC second team, he was named Arkansas College Player of the Year 2013 and 2013 he was named SWAC Defensive Player of the Year.
