Soccer: Cobbs Named SWAC Top Stopper for the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second time this season, UAPB junior Alyssa Cobbs has been named Southwestern Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for October 1, 2013.

The 5-9 Ellenwood, Ga. native finished the week with 10 saves to help the Lady Lions beat Central Baptist 2-0 on Tuesday. Cobbs played the entire game (90 minutes), recording her second shutout of the season. She currently ranks first in the conference in saves with 114.
