Dear Golden Lions fans,
With all the devastation, heart break, and hopelessness going on in Haiti, it’s our time to help. The UAPB Men’s Basketball Team and UAPB athletics department is soliciting your support. We will be collecting donations for the Golden Lions Men’s Basketball Haiti Relief; all proceeds will benefit the people of Haiti.
“We are asking the Golden Lion family to get involved, they need our help and we know about inclement weather and how it can destroy a community,” said Head Coach George Ivory.
The Golden Lion Men’s Basketball Program will be selling raffle tickets for $1. The winner will receive a “Golden Lion Sweetheart Basket”, which will be filled with Valentine’s Day goodies.
Please support a great cause, the Golden Lions and possibly your Valentine’s sweetheart. The Drawing will be at halftime of today’s basketball game featuring UAPB versus Alabama State. Supporters can continue make donations until February 23, 2010 at which time a check from this event will be issued to the people of Haiti.
